Notes:

  • The size you cut the squares depends on how big or small you want your pastelitos to be. 
  • These pastries are delicious when they are warm, but be careful since the guava paste melts and it becomes very very hot. 
  •  To store them (if you and your family don’t devour them in one sitting, that is) place them in an airtight container and reheat them for 15 to 20 seconds depending on how warm you want them. 
  • Make sure your puff pastry doesn’t thaw out completely otherwise it becomes very sticky and hard to work with.
