Pigs in a Blanket

Prep time: 10 MinCook time: 15 MinTotal time: 25 Min

Ingredients:

  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 1 package mini cocktail franks
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • sharp white cheddar cheese, cut into tiny cubes, optional
  • sesame seeds, optional

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Make the eggwash by adding the water to the beaten egg.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, unroll crescent rolls and tear where perforated. With a pizza cutter or knife, cut each triangle into three.
  4. Place one cocktail weiner on the thicker side of the triangle and roll. If making the cheese version make an excision in the weiner lengthwise and place a cheese cube inside the weiner. Roll the same way.
  5. Place the pigs in a blanket on the baking sheet, brush with the egg wash, and sprinkle sesame seeds, if desired.
  6. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
